CARTNET Network meeting and training April 14th – 16th 2021

The session started with the project coordinator Hanne Ingmer giving an overview of the project progress – including status on deliverables and on communication/dissemination – and information on upcoming reporting and the planned network session in Valencia this fall. Wednesday and Thursday were focused on ESR presentations and scientific discussions. Wednesday ended with a virtual gathering in “Gathertown” where all had the chance to meet in groups and discuss and socialize.

On Thursday the Supervisory Board met - the meeting was kept in a positive mode and that project progress and overall performance is found to be quite impressive, not least seen in light of the many Covid-19 restrictions during the last 13 months. Our advisory board members were also very appreciative – Teresa reminding all to be proud of what has been achieved, and the collaborative spirit in which all have worked. All ESR’s had a training session Friday, where Jerry Wells and Hanne Ingmer headed sessions on effective writing and structuring of the thesis introduction, and on writing a catchy abstract for a paper or poster. For this purpose the ESRs had prepared abstracts of their projects to be used as case examples. The day ended with a short management board meeting – where plans were laid for what is hoped to be a joint physical network meeting in Valencia in the fall of 2021.
